BBC2 Ident

This idea was to recreate the 'BBC2' logo. We were required to storyboard, film and edit the ident. This is because the BBC2 ident is quite boring and relatively simple. We were given the BBC2 outline of the template and we told that we had to design a new ident for the channel.

This is my detailed storyboard. 

It is important to have a detailed storyboard because therefore you have something to follow and an idea that you are able to keep track on. I kept to this storyboard because I really like my original idea. I also did this storyboard as I went along because I didn't have much of an idea to start with. 

Original template

With this ident we had to make it look a lot more modern. The way I did this was in animation, I wanted to use something with stars therefore I got a picture and decided that I would use place the photo into the BBC 2 template. 

My design template 

This was the design I came up with I like it a lot because I felt as though it was something different and bright. I like the idea of being able to change the colours to the original ident. I then also decided to photoshop the background, I used a pink grainy effect to do this. I did this because it is the polar opposite to what the original BBC 2 ident looked like. The song that I used was 'When I Wish Upon A Star' the reason for using this song because I felt as though it was a nice song to use for the ident as it was nothing to upbeat however it is a song that people will immediately recognise and this is important on an ident.

I really liked my ident although I felt as though it could have had a lot more animation in it as it was more of a still image.
